You might find groups where members just sharing their blog posts and some groups where real conversation going on. Some of my favorites facebook groups are:

Now if you have already created a group focus on the content and the value it can provide to make to help your group members.

But the BIG question is how do you get more users to join your Facebook Group?

Don’t worry I got your back!

In this post, I’ll share 3 techniques to promote your facebook group without spending a dime.

1. Ask Your Blog Subscribers

It’s the easiest way to get more people join your facebook group is to just ASK.

Here’s what Ankit Singla from BloggingTipsTricks asked his blog subscribers after launching his new group to public.

promote facebook group

Within just 3-4 days it went to up to 600+ group members.

Your email subscribers already know you, know about your blog and may have interacted with you through comments – so they are more likely to join your group on Facebook.

Also, share your facebook group link on your facebook profile and other social media networks and ask your friends/family to join in.

From one billion facebook groups you will surely find some groups related to yours. You can also pitch the group admin for a little bit of promotion in exchange for some work you can do for the group.

Now Here are Some Don’ts:

  1. Don’t  just invite anyone and everyone. You don’t want people who are not interested in what you are sharing or discussing…right?
  2. Don’t add people without their permission. It’s shouldn’t be your decision  – it should be their decision to join or not.

2. Use As Email Signature

This one’s pretty easy! Email signatures is a great place for adding a call to action and it works magically.

As an example here’s what I might use to promote my facebook group.

add facebook group to email signature

Now I assume, the person you are emailing already know you or talked to you. Now chances are if the are interested in the same niche as your group, they might join in.

You can also use this trick in your guest post author bio. Try this with mainly high authority blogs and make sure you write an epic sh#t. This surely attracts like-minded people and helps you get more facebook group members.

3. Use As Popups/SlideIns

This is best used by Kulwant Nagi from Blogging Cage to promote his facebook group.

promote facebook group with slidein/popup

This is one of the non-annoying methods to ask your visitors to perform some action such as joining your facebook or getting likes to your facebook page. The slide usually pops up from the bottom corner when someone scrolls down X% of a page.

If you are using WordPress, you can use a plugin called Easy Slide-In for WordPress to create these slide in. It’s a nice eye-catching trick to invite your blog visitors who haven’t subscribed to your list and works perfectly.

3 Guranteed Ways To Get More Retweets On Twitter Absolutely Free

When it comes to twitter, everyone love to spend time but most people are not reading your tweets.

But that doesn’t mean that you can’t increase the number of people who are seeing them.

Retweet obviously solves the purpose by reaching more people. And if people like what you are sharing they might follow you back which ultimately increases your potential reach.

So, aparantly retweets not only it increases your reach but also can get you more followers.

And who doesn’t like to have a bit more than usual?

But with 1.3 billion active monthly users it is not that easy to get retweets on anything you tweet. You obviously need a push or retweet to get your tweets infront of more people.

So how can you get others to retweet your content?

In this post, I’ll show you 3 surefire ways to get more retweets on twitter without spending a dime.

1. Timing is The Key

The timing element has a huge impact on getting noticed. Posting at the right time, when most users are online can drive more retweets.

Recently Buffer analyzed 4.8 million tweets and found that evenings and late nights are the times when your tweet gets more engagement. But they also found that this varies in different time zones.

most popular time to tweet worldwide

So you should experiment and find the times when your audience is online and most engaged. You can use tools like Tweriod or Buffer Optimal Scheduling Tool to find out the best time to tweet for you.

2. Use Mini Infographics

Give your followers a sneak-peak of the content you’re sharing.

And visuals like mini infographics are perfect for this!

People love these mini-infographics on Twitter as it says much about what’s inside without having them click.

Not only on twitter but this type of content is frequently repinned on Pinterest too. These visuals are engaging and people naturally want to share them.

tweet mini infographics

But how can you create these mini infographics without wasting much of your time?

Just for $5 you can you can get a well-designed custom graphic image which your audience would love to share again and again.

Now when you are sharing your article on Twitter just add the mini infographic with the short URL rather than just URL or featured image of your post. This is more visually appealing and gives people something informative to share.

3. Tweak Your Best Tweets

You work hours on your blog posts and when it comes to promoting your blog post, don’t you think it deserves a lot more than a single tweet?

Tweet it multiple times to stand out and maintain momentum.

tweet multiple times

Now here is a mistake people often make…they tweet the same headline again and again.

When you repeat your tweet, tweak it a little bit. Don’t use the exact same tweet every time. Re-arrange words on your tweet, rewrite your blog post headlines, share excerpts from your post…try different thinks to see which one stands out.

Your followers might come across your similar tweets and if you don’t mix it up, you might look like a spammer and that’s not the image you want to portray, right?.

With 500 million tweets a day it is harder to get your tweets noticed but as long as you don’t spam, and add value, it’s a fair game.

Now if you are looking for more then this handy infographic from Quicksprout explains the art of getting more retweets.

Getting retweets isn’t magic, it’s a science.  If you follow these tactics it will surely help you to get people retweet your content.

With 310 million monthly active users, Twitter is one of the biggest social media platforms around the world.

Earlier we talked about getting more Twitter followers but with around 7,000 tweets every second from all the users worldwide, it’s hard to stand out.

Many users sharing tons of content every day and no one seems to be interacting with them – It’s easy to get frustrated when people are not interacting with your tweets.

But, the BIG question is, how to get these users engage with your tweets?

In this post, I will share 3 tactics to increase your twitter engagement without spending a dime.

So let’s dive in.

#1. Use Twitter Cards

Still now twitter limits your tweet to 140 characters (even though everyone expecting for more) and sometimes it can be difficult to fit everything into it. But the good news is with Twitter cards you can do more.

Here’s how.

With twitter cards, you can add more content to your tweet with different card types such as the summary card, photo card, product card and a lot more. Well, cards surely make your tweet larger, engaging, dynamic and rich.

But before you start using twitter cards first you need to validate your website/blog with Twitter and then add twitter card meta data to your website/blog. It surely makes your posts more dynamic and can increase CTRs. Now if you wanna know how to install them to your site then check this guide here.

#2. Use Hashtags

Twitter hashtags: you might be saying yes I know that but what’s surprising is that only 24% of tweets contain hashtags.

And yes, you will also find people/brands using too many hashtags in their tweets.

So how is too many? As twitter suggests using up to two hashtags in a tweet. A study suggests that Tweets using more than two hashtags have a 17% drop in engagement.

Okay so let’s get down to the ultimate question, does twitter hashtags really increase engagement? In a study by Stone Temple Consulting shows that it does.

hashtags increase retweet

Just make sure that you follow along with the trending or industry-specific hashtags to improve your twitter engagement.

#3. Use Animated Gifs

Recently twitter introduced animated gifs and since it’s launch it has become a huge hit.

Unlike images, GIFs also helps to improve twitter engagement massively. A study by Stone Temple Consulting shows that images increase 5 to 9 times as many retweets and 4 to 12 times as many favorites rather than tweets without images.

images increase etweets and favorites

Since unveiling GIFs have become a great way to boost engagement and get more visibility on Twitter.

But the question is how do you create a GIF image for Twitter?

Now if you don’t want to use fancy software like Photoshop or Adobe Fireworks then you can use Microsoft Powerpoint and to create a simple animated gif for free.

You can also use tools like Giphy to create these animated GIFs.

But REMEMBER one thing!

Never use animated GIFs on your profile picture because it might annoy users if they visit your profile and find the same tiny animation going over and over on each of your tweets.

If you are looking for more then this handy infographic from Quicksprout explains more ways to increase Twitter engagement.

Ways To Get More Twitter Followers For Free

With 310 million monthly users worldwide, Twitter has become a microblogging giant.

We all love to get more & more twitter followers…right? The bigger the better.

Even if you are working for a social media marketing company , a freelancer working for your clients, or a blogger working for your blog. Everyone loves to see the followers count going up.

But you don’t need followers who are not interested in the content you are sharing, not fake followers or bots.

So, how can you get more people to follow you who love your content without spending a penny?

In this post, I’ll show you 3 crazy ways to increase your twitter followers absolutely free of cost.

So, without further ado let’s dive in…

1. Interact With Influencers

Interact with people who have a large following who shares stuff related to your niche and their audience pays attention to what they share. Here their highly engaging followers are your potential audience!

Now to find these people you can use Followerwonk to search for Twitter bios. Here are the results I got using a free subscription,  you can get more information with Moz paid subscription.

followerwonk search

From the results look for the “Social Authority” the higher the better. You can also create a filter by specifying topic, location, follower count, following count to find influencers in your location.

followerwonk filter search

Along with this, you should create a twitter list of influencers so that you can interact with them easily. Here are some Twitter lists for social media marketers.

You can also use Hootsuite to create your own Twitter list. Here is how you can do that.

2. Follow Like-Minded People

We all like to hang around with people with same interest as us….right?

You won’t like to follow people, who have no interest in the content you share on Twitter and you also won’t like to see stuff on your timeline you have no interest in.

So, how can you find more people who have the same interest like you?

Let me show you how,

First, do a hashtag search on Twiter. If you are interested in Social Media then a hashtag search like #SocialMedia can give you results like this.

From the results, you can see the people who are using #the hashtag #SocialMedia and similar.

You can also search for accounts who are using these hashtags in their profile bio.

twitter search

When you follow people do check out the follower vs following ratio. If you see an account has huge followers but following a few, chances are that they not gonna follow you back. So do follow someone who has a good follower vs following ratio. Don’t  try to follow more than 100 people per day.

Now in this way, you will end up following a lot of people but many might not follow you. So, you can unfollow them after a week. It will be a hectic job if you try to find and unfollow people manually. So to make your job easier you can use a tool called Managefilter.

Watch the video below to know how you can do that.

3. Be Active on Twitter

If you want to grow your Twitter followers, you have to be active. Don’t just promote your content try to engage with people who has the same interest like you. Retweet other users tweets, like them and reply to their tweets.

You can also join twitter chats to interact with more people. Here is a list of popular Twitter chats for marketers.

The more you will interact with others, more people would come to know about you and you will see an increase in your follower count.

For this, you can use Hootsuite to create search streams based on your keywords or hashtags and interact with those people.

Here is how you can create a search term using Hootsuite.

If you are looking for more ways to increase you Twitter followers then, you can follow this handy infographic by Wishpond.

3 Free Ways To Shyrocket Your Facebook Engagement

Hot to increase facebook engagement

Hot to increase facebook engagement

We all love to Facebook likes…don’t we?

In the last article, I’ve discussed how to get more Facebook likes.

But until there is no’s just a number.

From past couple of years Facebook organic reach is declining and now dropped down to 2%. It surely has affected Facebook engagement massively.

But that’s not the end of it…there are ways you can increase Facebook engagement without spending a dime.

So, whether you are working for a company providing digital marketing agency or a blogger working for your Facebook page, these tactics will help you get more engagement.

So let’s dive in.

#1. Timing is the Key

Even though organic reach is reduced down to 2% but that doesn’t mean it’s dead. The reason Facebook changed how the content will be displayed in News Feeds is because of the growing number of content being published.

Now the trick to overcome this challenge is to post when your Facebook fans are online.

best time to post on Facebook

Even though people check their Facebook throughout the day but a study suggests that most engagements happen at the afternoon.

But you shouldn’t necessarily follow what timing worked for other industries. You should check your Facebook Insights to know the perfect time to post for your page.

bestbest time to post on Facebook analytics

Try posting in different times and figure out which one works the best.

#2. Post Great Videos

Videos are one of the most effective ways to engage with your audience. No, I’m not talking about linking to your YouTube videos. A study suggests that natively uploaded videos on Facebook received 52x more views than on Youtube.

Facebook native vs Youtube

Now here is the deal:

To create a perfect Facebook post you need to have the perfect recipe i.e. 90% visual and 10% text.

With videos you can be more creative, informative and interactive – basically, you can do some really cool things with it. Before you start creating a video, do check out the best practices and Facebook recommendations  to know how to convert them, video quality, and some other troubleshooting issues.

Make sure your video isn’t long enough, as a study suggests between 22 seconds to 30 seconds. And don’t forget to add a catchy title.

Videos are not just engaging but your fans are more likely to remember it compared to a plain text post. And Facebook’s new video autoplay feature has changed video engagement to get user’s attention.

Finally, Facebook has made videos one of the most engaging and viable marketing options for businesses. So you better start taking advantage of this feature.

#3. Reply To Your Fans

You work hard and spend on Facebook ads to get people engage with your posts…right?

But when someone finally takes the time to leave a comment on your post, don’t ignore it. Check your posts throughout the day so that when someone comments,  you can reply ASAP. If you take long to reply, chances are the conversation won’t take place.

As an example, you can see how Darren Rowse knows connects with fans and touch them. He does this by responding to their comments promptly.

reply to Facebook fans

Yup, you might get some occasional trolls….just to get attention. But most people leave a comment to your post because the can relate to it. Make them feel special so they will be more willing to come back in the future and interact with your future posts as well.

As humans, we can touch each other either physically or emotionally. But if you try to approach Facebook marketing with just money making mindset then, you might end up wasting your time. Remember, Facebook is a social network, where you interact with real people socially, not a business network.

If you are looking for more ways to improve your Facebook engagement then this handy infographic from Quicksprout will help you.

But how to keep the numbers growing without spending a dime?

There are a couple of ways to do that but in this post, I will focus on top 3 ways to get more likes on your Facebook page.

So let’s dive in…

#1. Embedded Post

Do you know Facebook lets you embed posts on any web page?

Yes, that’s true!

Now you can grab a piece of code from your Facebook post and embed it into your post.

Let me show you how you can do that.

Step 1: Find a post that you want to embed. You can use your latest post from your Facebook Timeline.

But what I like to go through you Facebook insights tab & find the post engaging post. Once you find that select it by clicking on it.

Step 2: Now to get the embed code just click on the drop-down arrow on the upper right-hand corner of the post and select “Embed Post”. (If you don’t see this option click on “More Options”)

Step 3: Now copy and paste the code into your website or blog. That’s it!

Earn Facebook Likes From Guest Blogging

If you guest post in a highly authoritative blog and you write some good sh#t, then it might bring you quite a good amount of likes.

#3. Exit Intent Popup

Exit Intent Popups are the best way to engage visitors leaving your website.

Let’s say a user is browsing through your website / blog but suddenly decides to leave without liking your Facebook page. Exactly that moment they will be interrupted by a message asking them to like your Facebook page.

There are many tools you can use to create this popup. One of my favorites is Hello Bar. Neil Patel also uses this technique in his blog Quicksprout. And if you are visiting this blog for the first time, you might something like this when you try to exit.

hellobar popup

Now let me show you how to do this:

Step 1. Sign up with Hello Bar, install the code they provide you to your website. If you are in WordPress they have a plugin.

Step 2. Click on “Create New” from the left sidebar. It will take you to a new page to select a goal.
